Probus Parish Council is committed to enhancing the quality of life for the local community. We aim to achieve this by providing exemplary services, ensuring the residents enjoy a thriving and harmonious environment.

We are currently responsible for: 

  • Children Play area
  • Multi Use Games Area
  • Off Street car parking at the village hall
  • Cemetery at Laddock road
  • Pavilion at the playing field
  • War memorial by the Village Hall
  • Clock on the Church tower
  • Bus shelters, except for the period bus shelter at the Square
  • The Moveable Vehicle Activated Radar (MVAR) speed sign (currently located near the primary school on Ladock Rd
  • Public Convenience
  • Jubilee Gardens
  • Street furniture, such as benches and Victorian Jubilee Lamp at the Square

In addition, we undertake maintenance of open spaces, verges and designated pathways at our own initiative or in partnership with Cornwall Council. A map of areas which we maintain is available upon request.

In our role as trustees, we are responsible for the playing field and the village hall, supporting these vital community hubs through grants and mentorship.

Parish Council encourages residents to actively participate in community affairs. We welcome and value reports and suggestions from residents, recognising that community input is integral to the ongoing improvement of facilities and services.
